Northern Frontiers to Masai Mara

Flying Safari

Fly from North to South

Kenya is famed for the Masai Mara, with its prolific game sprawled across vast open plains and iconic landscapes. It is also the location of one of Mother Nature’s most incredible spectacles, the annual wildebeest migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebra and plains game, cross the Mara in search of fresh grasses, closely followed by numerous predators, including lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena and wild dog.

Flying over these stunning landscapes is a true highlight of any safari in Kenya. On this flying adventure, you will also visit the Lewa region and Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy near the Matthews Range in northern Kenya. Exclusivity, sensational game viewing, experienced guiding, 4WD game drives and thrilling walking safaris are just some of the highlights awaiting you on this flying safari across Kenya.

You will love

  • Prolific game viewing
  • Flying safari with views of the Kenyan landscape
  • 4WD game drives and thrilling guided walks
  • Exclusivity of Private Conservancies

Welcome to Nairobi. Transfer to the 5-star Hemingways Hotel for a 2-night stay. The following day enjoy a tour of Nairobi’s highlights including the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to see the baby orphaned elephants, the Karan Blixen Museum, and the Giraffe Centre.

Today you will join a scheduled light aircraft charter flight to the north of Kenya, to spend 3-nights at Sirikoi. This spectacular lodge is situated on private land surrounded by the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy on the northern slopes of Mount Kenya. Founded in 1995, the not-for-profit Lewa Wildlife Conservancy spans 62,000 acres and serves as a catalyst for conservation across northern Kenya. Lewa is home to 12% of Kenya’s black rhino population and the largest single population of Grevy zebras in the world.

Following your adventures in Lewa, continue further north toward the Matthews Range to the Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy to spend 3-nights at the beautiful Sarara Camp. Set in 850,000 acres of savannah plains and lush mountain slopes, the region is home to elephant, leopard, reticulated giraffe, wild dog and kudu. It is also home to the proud Samburu people and the famous ‘singing wells’. The age-old traditions of the Samburu are an integral part of this stunning eco-system and as much a highlight as the game viewing.

This time you will fly south, to the iconic Masai Mara to spend 3-nights at Richard’s Camp. Located in the Mara North Conservancy which boasts an abundance of wildlife, including lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and giraffe, it is also the location of the annual wildebeest migration which settles in the Mara eco-system from July to November each year. Safari activities here include day and night game drives, bush walks, bush meals and sundowners overlooking the vast Mara plains.

Enjoy a final safari or bush breakfast before your final charter flight back to Nairobi Wilson airport, followed by a short transfer to Kenyatta International airport to join you onward flight.
