Babylonstoren

Drakenstein Valley, South Africa

Stunning 17th century organic farm

Babylonstoren lies in the Drakenstein Valley between Franschhoek and Paarl. Surrounded by the Simonsberg, Du Toitskloof and Franschhoek Mountains, Babylonstoren is in the heart of the Cape Winelands. It is some 60 km from the city of Cape Town and an easy 45 min drive to Cape Town International Airport.

The guest suites echo Cape Dutch farm buildings of the 17th and 18th century, outer walls are whitewashed and decorated with ornate gables and thatched roofs. Interiors are pleasantly cool in summer and are heated by open hearths in winter. The spacious suites include an en-suite, comfortable sitting area and open fireplace. Enjoy superb cuisine at the restaurant Babel, or enjoy a cup of tea in the Greenhouse whilst nibbling on fresh salads straight from the garden, breads from the old...
