... Ten habituated gorilla groups can be tracked and observed in the Volcanoes National Park and treks through the jungle will be rewarded with phenomenal encounters. During your stay you can also enjoy guided hikes, treks to see the endemic golden monkey population, birding, visits to local communities and co-operatives, involvement in the reforesting projects and excursions to Dian Fossey’s grave and Research Centre. The trail leading to her remote rainforest camp and grave – which is set alongside the graves of her beloved gorillas – and the remains of the research centre is spectacular and deeply moving.
