Corocora Camp is located in a 9,000-hectare private reserve run partly as a traditional cattle ranch, and partly as a nature reserve. Styled on the traditional safari camps of Africa, it offers four spacious tented suites, each adorned with Colombian fabrics and handicrafts, and each boasting an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and hot running water. Private terraces with traditional hammocks provide the perfect spot for watching the passing animals and birds with a good book in hand. Exquisite... chef-prepared meals are served in the social mess tent using fresh local ingredients, and the bar and bonfire area draw people together to mull over the adventures of the day to soft guitar music.
During your stay explore on horseback, by 4×4, in a canoe or by helicopter to spot capybaras, anacondas, anteaters, howler monkeys, giant otters, and if you are very lucky, ocelots and pumas. Take part in pioneering conservation projects and spend time alongside the llaneros, or barefoot Colombian Cowboys, wrangling cattle and learning the ways of their culture and livelihood.
