Cool Lamu-chic in Nairobi
The bespoke ‘Manzili House’ comprises two exclusive use properties – the larger 4 bedroom ‘Manzili House’, and a second 2 bedroom house, ‘Manzili Ndoto’. Together, they sit in the leafy, quiet suburb of Karen/Langata, on the outskirts of Nairobi, within lion’s roaring distance of Nairobi National Park and the international and domestic airports.
Exclusive and serene, Manzili House is set in a beautiful established garden, and both houses overlook the tropical courtyard and swimming pool. Its design is inspired by the distinctive Swahili architecture found throughout the Lamu archipelago, and interiors follow suit with timber floors, cool stone bathrooms and expansive, white living spaces. Both villas have a spacious open-plan kitchen, sitting room, and lounge with cosy fireplace nook, and both have access to roof terraces where one can enjoy sundowners and starry nights. The food is exquisite and carefully considered dishes burst with fresh local produce.
Manzili House is a great base for exploring Karen and beyond and there are plenty of things to see and do locally including the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Karen Blixen Museum and Matt Bronze gallery. As a ‘home away from home’ it is also a great spot for relaxing after a safari – a place where you can kick off your shoes, unpack and then rest easy, knowing you can do as much or as little as you wish.
Nestled in nature, a stay here allows for total exclusivity and rejuvenation.
