Serengeti exhilaration

In a remote part of the Northern Serengeti, on the banks of the Mara River, lies Sayari Camp. Sayari is Swahili for universe or planet, capturing the vast Serengeti plains and endless skies where the camp is situated.

Here you can enjoy off-road game viewing across the fertile plains home to lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and huge herds of antelope. The game-rich Mara River is filled with hippos and crocodiles and the spectacular ‘wildebeest crossing’ generally occurs between mid-July and October.

In addition to game drives led by expert guides, Sayari Camp offers the rare opportunity to experience the Serengeti on foot resulting in an unmatched sense of freedom and an exhilarating connection to the sights and sounds of the bush surrounding you.

Sayari Camp’s very spacious 15 luxury tents are split into 2 wings – one with 9 and one with 6 tents – that blend perfectly into the majestic Serengeti landscape. Both wings have a separate central dining area to ensure intimacy and personal service. Each large, contemporary, en-suite tent has a beautiful bath offering panoramic views over the Serengeti.

After game drives, you can enjoy the infinity swimming pool or choose the privacy of your veranda, the warmth of the fire place, or the comfort of the library, bar or lounge to relax. There are also two ‘chill out’ areas under canvas slightly away from the main lounge providing a quiet area to read a book or bird watch. Sayari Camp also has a spa facility for indulgent pampering.
