Set on the riverbanks in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, Tanda Tula Safari Camp is shaded by majestic trees and overlooks a watering hole. The Timbavati is one of the oldest private nature reserves and forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park.

During the 1950’s a group of conservation minded private game park owners decided to pool their resources for mutual benefit and to benefit the wildlife in the area. The individual farms on the western boundary of Kruger National Park were consequently joined and in recent years the fences, that once separated the Timbavati from the Kruger National Park, have been dropped and a pristine wilderness area of approximately four million hectares has been formed.

Each of Tanda Tula’s 12 luxury tents is completely private and surrounded by lush riverine bush overlooking the riverbed. Each has its own private deck complete with comfortable lounges. They also have beautiful en suite bathrooms with traditional Victorian bathtubs and romantic outdoor showers.

The pool overlooks a large watering hole which is often frequented by a variety of African wildlife, including the Big Five. The bar and lounge are always open allowing you to relax and immerse yourself in the serenity of the African Bush.

View lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino over more than 10 000 hectares. The camp is also home to more than 40 mammal species and 350 bird species. Experience the thrill of game drives in open Land Rovers with highly experienced rangers and trackers.
