Rajasthan Family Adventure

This twelve day active family adventure showcases a unique and adventurous side of India.  Highlights include a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi, a fun Street Eats walking tour, watching the sunrise over the Taj Mahal, a visit to the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Fatehpur Sikri, a rural cooking class in Jaipur,  a jeep ride to Amber Fort (outside Jaipur) and a boat trip on famed Lake Pichola in Udaipur; all before spending two days walking through Kumbhalgarh.

Your journey begins in Delhi spending 3 nights in Haveli Dharampura – the perfect introduction to India’s architecture, history and traditional way of life.  Nestled in the winding alleys of Old Delhi you will have the opportunity to explore on foot and by rickshaw before travelling to Agra to spend 2 nights in the ITC Mughal and to view the greatest monument to love – the Taj Mahal.  The Pink City of Jaipur awaits and the fabulous Jai Mahal Palace will be your home whilst you spend days exploring incredible forts and palaces on foot and wandering local markets before flying to the Lake City of Udaipur.  From your base in the Aravalli Hills, at the Fateh Garh Palace Hotel, you will undertake a walking tour of the city and a spectacular boat ride on famous Lake Pichola.  Your journey culminates with a 2 day Kumbalgarh trek, walking (approx 5hrs) to Kumbhalgarh Fort to spend a night at Fateh Safari Suites before continuing the following day (approx 4hrs walking) to reach the Ranakpur Jain Temples.  Your trek leads you through the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary – famous for wild hogs, sloth bears, leopards, antelopes and an incredible array of birds species.  Kumbhalgarh Fort itself is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is encompassed by the 2nd largest fortified wall in the world (after the Great Wall of China) – a truly exceptional site to explore.  Return to Delhi for a final night at the Pullman Aerocity Airport Hotel  before starting your return journey home……or possibly exploring more of India!
