The Lakes & Volcanoes
Fly south to Puerto Natales and about a 10-minute walk from the town itself sits the Singular Patagonia – a fantastically architecturally designed property where you have two nights to either once more rest and enjoy the property itself, or perhaps you want to stretch your legs and walk into town to explore, or you can enjoy a variety of activities such as hikes, biking, horse-riding, birding and more at the pace and style that you choose.
A stay at The Singular is a lead-up to your Patagonian stay at Awasi Patagonia which is next, based on the three nights that you will be there. After a couple of hour’s drive to reach the property based on the edge of the Torres del Paine National Park, head out and explore all that the national park has to offer, with your private guide and 4WD allocated per each of the villas on site. Appreciate the mountains, Lake Sarmiento, the flora and fauna along with local, fresh cuisine.
Head north and on the outskirts of Puerto Varas sits the Hotel Awa, right on the shores of Lake Llanquihue. During your two night stay explore the great outdoors with a plethora of excursions ranging from fishing and birdwatching to volcano climbs, zip‐lining, kayaking, and rafting. If you are tired out from outdoor excursions in Torres del Paine, then you can enjoy a spa treatment, relax by the pool or take in the views from the Osorno volcano which boldly sits in the distance.
A highlight of your itinerary may be the Lakes Crossing which falls next – a full day adventure passing by the lakes and mountains, traversing from Chile and into Argentina, to arrive to Llao Llao resort, Bariloche. Three nights here allows for more outdoors activities and time to appreciate the region’s landscapes. Hike in the surrounding parks, kayak in the lake, bike ride or enjoy the health club and spa – the choice is yours!
Fly from Bariloche and into Buenos Aires and spend three nights at the Alvear Palace, once of the city’s most exclusive properties, and in the stunning neighbourhood of Recoleta. You are on the doorstep of a bunch of the cities best attractions – whether it be its parks, museums, art galleries, boutique shops and over the next couple of days you can head to La Boca to explore tango and perhaps to the markets in Palermo.
Head North to the mighty Iguazu Falls and check into Das Cataratas, the only property within the Iguassu National Park and where before the park’s gates open and after they close, only the hotel’s guests have access to the boardwalks taking in the vistas of the Falls. Surrounded by lush jungle, enjoy any down-time here along with taking in the Falls by a boat ride and getting soaking wet!
Return to Buenos Aires for one final night, and your fantastic itinerary comes to an end.
